My Parties: Tahlia's 10th Birthday {Softball Theme}

This past weekend we celebrated my middle childs birthday. Tahlia turned the big ONE O! She's been playing softball for about 2 yrs now, so it was no surprise when she asked for a Softball themed party. I really wanted to do something special for her. She is such a great student and works really hard to maintain Honor Roll status. She can be very sassy but her drive is what makes us so proud of her. That is however, why we went for a more edgy character. It suites her personality and she's not very girly. The girl can't stand pink! Her colors are red and blue, so I went with that and added black.
Long story short.... mama went crazy over the summer, wasn't prepared, had her computer crash, ants invaded the house the week of party and I put it all together in 2 weeks! Phew! We survived and Tahlia loved her party, so I can't complain. It doesn't hurt to hear from Tahlia, that her friends couldn't stop talking about her party the following school day! :) Check out T-Money's (her softball nickname) birthday party!

It all started with an AMAZING, angry softball girl graphic that the even more AMAZING Michele of Intrigue Design created for me. I told her what my vision was and it's like she was in my head! I designed the invitation using her graphic.

I created this chalkboard like scoreboard (available in my shop)for the backdrop of my dessert table. "Rivas Field"....I love it! I also hung bunting that I made from each side.

My girl DeAnna at Pink Laundry Events made this adorable softball hair bow to match the birthday girls attire. You can find it on her shop Pink Laundry Shop

I can't say enough thank you's to my AWESOME friend Claudia of Tini Posh! When my pc crashed, just days before the party, she saved my life and created these super cute flags for my centerpieces! They were perfect! She's truly an amazing friend!

Ms. Tini Posh, also recreated these button pin images (that I thought I lost in the great PC crash!). I love hers better!! Tahlia's friends loved these little favors btw.
I set out eye blacks for the kids to wear. These are great because you can write your own little message on your eye black pair!
Bought these cool mini foam fingers for favors as well.

The favor boxes! I created the labels with the graphic from Intrigue Design and adorned them with hair bows (very popular in Softball) and washi tape on the corners.

Bought this old helmet from Goodwill and spray painted it red to match my theme. 2 bucks!

I created my first piece of subway art and I totally LOVE it! Look for it to be available in my shop soon.

 The favor table.

Created this "Sanck Bar" sign for the hot dog stand.
My oldest volunteered to "work" the snack bar and here she is, hard at work!
 The dessert table:

 Made labels for Gatorade bottles.
Made this letter "T" with softball paper, Mod Podge and a wood letter.
Forget David Sunflower Seeds, we got Tahlia Seeds! Hehe!
These delicious softball theme chocolate apples are from MKR Creations. They were soooo good and so cute!
I was totally inspired by an image I seen from Soiree Event Design and decided they could be great "bat" candies.
Used a glove to hold yellow gumballs. Yes, it was clean! ;)

 How amazing is this cake?!?!
This cake topper by Sugar High just blew my mind!! She took the image I sent her and totally brought it to life! Brenda is amazing!
My friend Silvia Morales (who made Nate's Robin cake) also made this cake and it was awesome! She is so talented and you must go become of fan of her new FB page Silvia's Cake Creations! The topper and cake came together perfectly!
These custom wood forks by Sugar Coated Studio were PERFECT! I'm definitely a customer for life!

I still think balloons make a party look super fun and festive!

I had a custom jersey made for the birthday girl, from a local business. If you're in the Torrance, Ca. area, you gotta check out AMK.

I set out a "batting cage" for the kids to enjoy. Soft toss balls, bats and a T for the little ones.... it was great!

The birthday girl with her daddy!

I finally got some use of all the food baskets I've collected over the past couple of years! Food just looks better in these baskets, do ya think??
