Sewing 101

I am so excited to be taking my first sewing class next Wednesday. If you know me, you know I can't sew for crap! I asked a few people and one of my friends who practically sews for a living, and they all suggested that I go to JoAnn's Fabric & Craft store. Their pricing is very reasonable and they have a good reputation. I've been wanting to do this for a while now and especially with all the party planning I do, I really should just be making my own linens. I wouldn't always be at the mercy of vendors. So I am finally taking the plunge and I'm so excited! Look at me! Getting all "domestic", hahaha! Wish me luck!

I need to check out that store in my area, sewing class sounds like fun. I took one in college, but that was a long time ago!

OMG! I need sewing lessons! I totally want to sew. I am not very good at. I love crafty stuff, but this sewing thing is a whole different ball game! Thanks for your kind words on the nestwork today. :) They are so appreciated! I posted about the sewing lessons I got from my grandma over the summer. So far the pillows I made are still in need of final stitching.

I took a sewing course just before I got married. I'm not great at it - probably because I prefer to cut corners! - but I know enough to get by.

I'm so glad I did because it gave me the confidence to throw together my own curtains and do crafts to decorate my home.

Hope you have fun and end up with better skills than I did!
