Our Belated Anniversary

Over the weekend, hubby and I finally got a chance to celebrate our 2 yr. wedding anniversary. My husband planned a wonderful day and overnight outing for us, on Saturday. Well I have to say, we had the best time! We started the day off, watching the movie "Why Did I Get Married?".....fitting, right! Oscar took one for the team, since he isn't into "chick flicks" but he knew I really wanted to see it. Following the movie, we drove down to Hermosa Beach, where we stopped at The Massage Spot Mini day Spa. He planned for us to get, some much needed massage therapy. The place was fantastic! It's not as swanky as some of the other day spa's in the area but it's definitely a great spot. They have 3 locations and offer a variety of services. We both had a combo Swedish/Deep tissue massage and we came out of there feeling brand new!Our next stop was to the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, in Downtown Los Angeles. We had been there before but never to stay, so I was really excited that we were spending the rest of our evening there. The views that you get from your rooms are incredible. We enjoyed wine at their Lobby Court lounge and had dinner at L.A. Prime Steakhouse. I'm officially in LOVE with prime rib! Until now, the best steak I had ever tasted was at the now closed, Windows Restaurant in Los Angeles. But after dining at Prime, my opinion has changed. Now, the best steak I've ever tasted is at L.A. Prime Steakhouse. I have also fallen in love with Burrata cheese (it was serves in brandywine and zebra tomatoes, micro sprouts, opal basil balsamic vinaigrette). Which is a mozzarella and cream mix. Looks like mozzarella but is much creamier and oh so yummy! So my mission in life right now, is to find that cheese!Ok, enough about the cheese! Sorry, I get carried away with cheese.
Our night was spent at The Vodka Bar, located right outside Prime. It's our favorite hang out, at the Bonaventure. The area is so small and usually empty. It doesn't get the volume of customers that the Revolving Lounge gets but it definitely should. The bartender makes the best martini's and it's nice to have the area all to yourself. So on second thought, don't go there! I want that place all to myself...hehe! (Allen would kill me for saying that!)
We had such a good time, even though I lost my phone but I guess that's what happens when you have too many martini's! This was a great anniversary and I can't wait to see what's in store for us, in the years to come!
