I am happy to report that Serina's Birthday Slumber party was a success. As I have learned in the many years of party planning, something ALWAYS goes wrong. Surprisingly, not much went wrong this time. A couple little things but nothing that would get me into a frenzy. All and all, it was great, Serina and her friends had a blast, so I am a happy mommy camper. We did start off the day, taking the girls to Mulligan's , thankfully the weather cooperated with us. We all had a great time. Once we were home, the girls enjoyed all the snacks, food and of course, cake. Then it was karaoke time! The girls had so much fun with that and so did we. It was hilarious, watching them! Serina opened a few gifts and for those who know our family, know that there isn't much to give my girls. Like I've been told, almost every year "What the heck do I give them?!? They have EVERYTHING!". But the one thing Serina did not have and BEGGED for was a cell phone. After much debate, we decided to get her one for her birthday. First let me say how scary it is that I'm even at this point! But times are different and I guess I have to roll with the punches. She was SO excited, the picture says it all. Take a look at Serina's birthday celebration. The set-up, before 4 tweens invaded my home. The eats! Karaoke time!! I searched high and low for these flowers! Iris flowers are her birth flower. The smile of a happy tween, who just got a cell phone And for breakfast, I served the girls blueberry, banana nut and chocolate muffins (I did NOT bake! Not this early!). I chopped strawberries, bananas, apples, topped with whipped cream and bagels with cream cheese. The girls chose hot chocolate instead of orange juice....I wonder why??Happy girls! My work here is done!

Everything looked so nice!! You are so good. I can't even imagine what is in store for her 15th (or sweet 16)..lol. Anyway, good job, your daughters are so lucky. About the cell phone, don't worry so much! Just set the rules and limits, and it will work itself out.
Loving the set up you had going for her.. It looks beautiful and the colors were great.. The food table looked delish, especially the spinach dip (yum)... I'm glad everthing turned out good..

Thank you ladies! It means a lot!
@Vero-Ugh, don't even freak me out about her 15th or sweet 16! That's TOO scary to think about! But yeah, we went over the rules...cross your fingers! I can't believe I'm here!
